Our artists use their creative platform as songwriters and performers to carry on their cultural legacy. Through their music, they have been the starting point for so many others to find their way back to the stories and identity of our Hmong people.

Founded June 2013, Yellow Diamond Records is a Hmong-owned independent record label based in Merced, California. Our mission is to support and promote emerging and established artists across the globe; releasing music, organizing tours, securing press coverage for the acts signed to the label.

Our goal is to encourage and preserve the Hmong language through music for future generations. As generations of Hmong children have assimilated into major cultures, the Hmong language and cultural heritage are in danger of being lost over time. Fortunately, many of our youth have developed an even stronger longing to find their identity and connect with their family’s roots.
